Point Zero and the Back of Notre Dame
On a Lighter Note...
Notre Dame
The sun coming through the stained glass was gorgeous. I can't even come close to explaining the grandeur of Notre Dame...built for beauty and for the glory of God. I marvel at the intricacy of carvings, the poignant details of the sculpting and paintings, barely marred by the passing of time. It was wonderful to be in a place where so many stronger believers than I had also come to worship.
With a huge sense of peace we left Notre Dame, never to forget the glory of God!

Tour Eiffel
Surprise!!!
Some of us knew how to deal with jetlag...okay, so we didn't really buy anything, but it was fun just to see Starbucks!!!
Jetlag
Dad napping between flights...
Mom journaling...
Rob enjoying his short time in Ireland...
Katy was so tired she fell asleep on the floor of the apartment after dinner!
Transfer in Ireland!
In between Ireland and England...
Ummm...island...
There were cows next to the runway landing... you know you are in a different country... we wondered if the cows were deaf!!!? Like us.

Pictures from the Plane
Well...it was a looooong plane ride, but we enjoyed the time, the food, the people, and made lots of good memories...such as before we got on the plane we were getting our dinner and a guy said for two pizzas he would give us two free smiles which he kindly demonstrated. :D While on the plane our seats were situated such that we were able to see not only the sunset but also some of the sunrise (see above).
We're off!
We're leaving! Thanks to Mrs Sommerfeld for dropping us off! We're really excited about this trip. Please be praying for good connection with the people we meet, and that we'll adjust well.
